STRONG RESULTS EXCEEDING THE STRATEGIC PLAN TARGETS

  • Net revenue was high, at €3.6 billion (+5.5%).
  • Net income stabilized at a high level, at €945 million (-0.6%).

EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE IN BANKING ACTIVITIES

  • Net revenue for the retail banking rose sharply to €2.3 billion (+11.5%), driven by the CIC banking networks, which reported net revenue of €2.2 billion (+11.3%).
  • Activity in the specialized business lines remained at a high level, at €1.2 billion (-3.4%).
  • This performance reflects the commitment of CIC’s 20,000 employees, who are dedicated to supporting their 5.8 million customers: individuals, professionals, SMEs/mid-cap companies and large corporates.

SCHEDULED INVESTMENTS FINANCED BY OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY

  • General operating expenses remained under control at €2.1 billion (+3.7%).
  • They reflect CIC’s ongoing investments in people, with a stronger social pact; in technology, to maintain its competitive edge, and in its international expansion. They also incorporate CIC’s sponsorship policy, through the Societal dividend, reflecting its status as a benefit corporation.
  • These investments are largely financed by revenue growth, as evidenced by the improvement in the cost/income ratio to 57.9% (-1 point).

INCREASED FINANCIAL STRENGTH

  • The cost of risk was €292 million (+37.0%). It reflects the economic climate, which is putting some companies in a vulnerable position.
  • Shareholders’ equity stood at €23.0 billion at June 30, compared with €22.5 billion at December 31, 2025.
